One thing that annoys me with Google analytics is that I my access from home shows up even though I have set up a filter.
But I found if In install the NoScript FireFox extension I can block javascript from google-analytics.com A nice way to prevent myself from showing up in stats for my own site!
Also this extension is quite handy to check and make sure that all your pages have GA code installed.
Finally this fun extension can generate reports right in FireFox.
I have never seen a Rubik's Cube move so fast! I figured that they lubricated them with silicone spray or something similar so a quick google search and I found my answer. Maybe I will make my own, but I have always been very bad with Rubik's Cubes.
I just love some to the ridiculously hilarious stuff that the Japanese come up with.

About 3 years ago I purchased a bunch of trees from the Arbor Day Foundation. Most of these trees were fruit trees. One tree in particular was an almond tree.
When I planted this tree it was a tiny pathetic twig in the ground, but it has now grown to well over 12 feet tall and is absolutely covered with peach-like fruit. I am a total peach freak -- they are my favorite fruit -- so seeing this tree every day before and after work is quite tempting.
There is one big problem -- certain almond trees produce a cyanide containing chemical that when digested is converted to cyanide which can kill you!
I have spent quite a bit of time trying to find out if my tree was poisonous or not. I tried to contact the Arbor Day Foundation -- they have no question e-mail -- just a general question form that is broken! Argh! At least I was able to contact them via phone to found out that my tree is a Hall's Hardy Almond.
From what I can tell a Hall's Hardy Almond is a hybrid between a peach and an almond tree that is grafted on to peach root stock. It is safe to eat! So I look forward to eating my almonds! Now I need to figure out how to harvest them! I know you are supposed to let them stay on the tree until they split open, and then roast them. That is all I know so far.
I cannot wait for my wife to make some of her awesome almond butter using our home grown almonds!
It is funny how easily it is to miss the release of something you like even with all this technology to like the Web with its RSS feeds etc.
The point is that first episode of School Rumble The Third Term was released in July! I just watched it -- first thing I noticed was that it started as if this OVA was episode 25 and 1-24 been produced and released. There is a short review of the whole fictitious season (based on the manga) and then it picks up (if you are familiar with the manga) right at the end of the walking festival.
I have to say I am very disappointed that they skipped over so much great School Rumble material from the manga. I was really looking forward it to being made into anime form. The leading seiyu(voice actors) Takahashi Hiroki and Koshimizu Ami really give life to the characters. Also animators really add the delivery of what is a awesome show.
Enough of my complaints because I want more School Rumble. The episode it very good! Watch it! I am looking forward to Episode 26 when it comes out at the end of this month!
Back in June I was at the Big Lots! in Rensselaer, NY when I spotted something that looked familiar. It was a knockoff of Transmetal II Megatron from Beast Wars!
It was a exact mold of the original but instead it was in a dark grey, blue and gold color scheme. This is very different from the Cryotech repaint that was primarily blue. It looks of almost equal quality to the original Megatron with the exception that the transparent helmet and cockpit canopy are now black opaque plastic.
It also includes a translucent lizard man, and not sure what that is for!?
The packaging has a goofy looking Beast Machines Cheetor. It also says that it was manufactured for Big Lots!.
I wonder if Hasbro knows that Big Lots! is selling their intellectual property for the low price of $10.
Anyway if you can find one buy it!
I was driving home from work yesterday when a coyote shot out right in front of my car. I was able to tap the brakes and swerve a little which was just enough to not hit it. I am pretty sure its tail did brush the front of the car.
One thing I did notice that its tail was quite bushy. Also it looked scared ;-) I figure it weighted about 60 lbs.
This was almost the same place where a mountain lion ran out in fron of my car earlier this year.
Fall is almost upon us which means a new season of anime fresh from Japan! Below are just some of the show I will be watching:
Gundam 00 has to be one of the best Gundam's ever, and the worst. It is created by the creator of Onegai Teacher! and Onegai Twins! -- Yōsuke Kuroda (黒田 洋介) -- two great anime shows both of which have no gigantic robots. Which can be seen in Gundam 00. Previous Gundam shows were much more shallow and the basic story was about the tradigy of humans fighting humans not because of race or economic standing, but because where they live. The visuals from the first season were amazing, and the story quite depressing and enthralling!
My daughter and I watched the show together, and we put together a Gundam Model. She followed along in the directions and removed and put each piece together! All I did was to put on the stickers and marker in the details! Not bad for a four-year-old!
The first season of Vampire Knight was good -- I haven't finished watching all the episodes, but it has some of the same darkness that Zombie-Loan had.
Completely lacking of any kind of plot, this show is actually quite cute. Let's just hope that this season's story is a little more developed. It is like a very bad version Seto no Hanayome (瀬戸の花嫁).
All you need to watch the original season of this show is to turn your TV to Cartoon Network. Yeah it's good. I am looking forward to it.
This show really tugs at my heart. I really want Tomoya and Nagisa to be happy together! Just a really great show. I love the dangos! I bought some recently at a local Asian food market. Yummy and cute!
EF was also just as good as Clannad -- but the story is a little temporally (skips around) disjointed -- not as bad as The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (great show!)
